What would you do? Announcing Donations as Favors
A common favor idea for the modern couple is to give a donation in honor of their guests to a charity that is near and dear. Obviously, the bride and groom would also like to convey this gift to their guests.
Donation cards are one way…but what about economizing by using the printed pieces you are already having made? Make your menu card or table number do double duty by adding a line or two announcing your gift in honor of your guests. Or, add a small paragraph into your program text instead of designing another piece.
On the other hand, you can make some very nice pieces to send the message, too. I have done hand-rolled scrolls with a monogram band, framed cards for each table, place card sized envelopes with a small coordinated note, and am open to whatever other ideas my brides can come up with!
Any route you go, I think that the donation to charity is this year’s hottest favor!
Rhinestone Buckles
I have to say nothing puts a smile on my face faster than a massive quantity of rhinestone buckles! These are going to be used for napkin rings. You can also use them on your bouquet stems, stationery, pew decor, or my personal fav — to gather specialty linens on a cake or place card table! Buckles start at about $3.50 and go up to $10.
So, depending on your budget, it may not be feasible to have one for each guest…but using them sparingly can be a great way to make a big impact with a little bit of money. As our past and present customers know, we always respect your budget - whatever it is!
